The Five Sharps – Stormy Weather (1952)

This next record is perhaps the rarest in existence, Stormy Weather by The Five Sharps. It was released in 1952 to abysmal sales, to the point that the band began purchasing the records back! This sad sale rate became so famous that it would make whichever records weren’t bought by their creators incredibly valuable as cultural icons. Only three weren’t bought, and a single one will go for $20,000 in modern times. We would happily help The Five Sharps out!

The Velvet Underground – The Velvet Underground & Nico (1967)

The Velvet Underground are one of the creators of the punk genre. Their music wasn’t very child-friendly, however, and the 60s were not a time when artists could get away with swearing and raunchy themes. The censoring forces of the time then did their best to pull the record off the market, but not before 30,000 were sold. More recently, a Canadian collector found a copy of the 1967 record in a flea market vendor’s stack of records. He purchased the record for cents and resold it for $25,200.
