The Beatles – Yesterday and Today (1966)
Bizarrely, The Beatles wished for a gory butcher-inspired cover for their Yesterday and Today record. The plan was to get into butcher outfits, covered by meat and clutching small girl’s dolls. Certainly, a lot of people were disturbed by this scene. $250,000 was then paid by Capitol Records to get almost all the one-million records in circulation. Some were not found, however, and those that have copies can sell them for $15,000. What a win!

The Rolling Stones – Street Fighting Man (1968)
The Rolling Stones were similar to The Beatles in that they loved making controversial record covers, as was the case with Street Fighting Man in 1968. The cover displayed an injured protestor being attacked by cops. The Democratic National Convention was hit with a riot in 1968, which made record label suits refuse to release this related work. The records were almost completely destroyed, with only 18 making it out. A single one will sell for about $17,000.
