Next up is an essential blues record created by Robert Johnson, the so-called godfather of the genre. If you want to play the blues, you will want to make a deal with the devil and trade your soul for the ability to play this kind of music. Or at least that is what Me and the Devil Blues is all about, a record by Johnson that came out in 1938. It is said that the blues musician was not kidding around when he made this spooky statement.

The White Stripes – Lafayette Blues (1998)

Toward the end of the 20th century, in 1998, Dave Buick created 15 unique versions of Lafayette Blues, a record by The White Stripes. Italy Records was founded by Buick and the artwork was made to promote the record’s release, which was accompanied by a special concert. The records were sold for $6 and can today be resold for a jaw-dropping $12,700. Talk about an investment! Only the most dedicated White Stripes fans will have a copy, however.
