Jean-Michel Jarre – Music for Supermarkets

Paris held an incredible art exhibition in 1983 where the contributing artists landed on a supermarket theme. An electronic artist called Jean-Michele Jarre was approached to contribute to the exhibition. He agreed and provided the gallery with a record labeled ‘Music for Supermarkets’. Jarre didn’t donate the record, however, and asked for $14,000. If you had to adjust that amount for modern inflation, it comes to $33,500. Jarre got rid of the master plates, and so this is undeniably the only copy.

Ferris Wheel – Supernatural Girl

If you are a fan of ‘stoner-folk’, which is exactly what it sounds like, then you are probably into Ferris Wheel. If you haven’t heard of this marijuana-loving band, that is ok, but you should know that their Supernatural Girl records could go for $15,000 each. That is if the original sleeve has been kept, which must be black, and has the “blakeyburch” copyright sticker. Another quirk is that the sleeve opens above the sleeve, instead of the right side.
