You might have never heard of Franklin Mint dolls, and that is because they have been living in Barbie’s shadow for a long time, now. That is not to say that they haven’t taken queues from Barbie, as after witnessing a 2010 sale of a Barbie doll for more than $7,000, Franklin Mint decided to try their luck. The company began a marketing campaign assuring buyers that their dolls would one day be incredibly valuable. Seeing as Franklin Mint is on this list, this promise was a lie.

When cameras first became available to the public, they were large, stocky things that cost a lot of money, and so only a few people had them. Today, however, almost everyone has some kind of camera, that fits into their pocket. Today, vintage cameras are far less desirable, given their redundancy. You might only be interested in paying a lot of money in 2021 for a 20th-century camera if you are looking to make an arty film.
